Less Chalet Holidays on Offer next Winter Means Less Rebates

Gepost in: House Of Recreation, On the Road — @ 8:28 am

Holiday makers should expect ski holidays to cost up to 16 percent more for ski holidays this season as operators cut back the amount of ski holidays available.

Peak season weeks will be particularly costly however even at different weeks there will surely be hardly any big reductions on trips.

Ski insiders report that with ski companies cropping holidays by up to 24 % costs remain unlikely to come down.

Bookings are already beyond the availability for half term that for the 2nd year fall on the same week for most schools in England.

The increment in prices coupled with a slashing in the number of ski holidays comes after a very fine winter for holiday makers with deep snowfalls all over the Alps.

With the fall of the pound sterling versus the Euro obliterated profit margins leaving a lot of smaller providers with losses.

The future looks up for skiers prepared to go on vacation in Jan or March, when costs will be up by around 10 percent on average, in place of 36 per cent for peak weeks.

Airways, hotels and Geneva airport transfer companies are beginning to recognize that they provide holiday makers reductions or special deals. Organised holidaymakers will pay for as many add ons ” ie. ski passes and ski rental ” in sterling before they leave home.
